Take CONSENT forward

Like adults, teens have unrestricted 24/7 access to the virtual world, with the internet and digital devices playing a fundamental role in everyday life. While the Internet facilitates daily tasks and communication, it presents two key concerns for young individuals. Firstly, virtual interaction has been normalised and this significantly impacts how young people express, learn, and relate, particularly in areas like emotions and sexuality. Secondly, the online boundary between personal and social realms becomes highly uncertain, with content influenced by business, distorting reality and potentially causing lasting harm to self-perception, relationships, emotions, and sexuality.

The CONSENT campaign aims to inform and engage institutions, key stakeholders and IT experts to safeguard children’s online security and youth’s intimacy and healthy development through developing actions, tools and policies.
